Bri and I were so excited for our first time shooting at the new Scripps Seaside Forum, there’s not many places even in San Diego with beach front views like this! From the second we arrived to the moment they had to kick us out, we were in AWE. Couple that with an amazing coordinator, Amanda McPhail of Creative Affairs, and we were truly in a photographic candyland.

We’d like to extend our thanks to Marla+J for inviting us to be part their special day. It may have been one of the most fun events yet! I swear I LOVE a good old fashion chair dance. Nothing like a roller coaster chair ride for a newly married couple with everyone watching! Cheers to almost not falling out. :)

Stay tuned for more…..

Sometimes, Bri and I forget just how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful city. Monica and Bryan (AKA: Evil Kenevil :) could not have chosen a better place for their Wedding. It was an absolutely amazing day! We’ve had the pleasure of knowing Monica for quite some time, she was our very first hair model back many many many haircuts ago when we were just young assistants. 10-ish years ago we met at a Starbucks to talk about hair, now nearly 10 years later we’re talking and laughing about her wedding. Pretty awesome indeed. Oh hey, speaking of awesome…..

Hey! This is Bri…first post on my own, oh boy!!!

This Friday I got to hang out with Jay Reilly and some other really cool photographers up in Oceanside. We had the luxury to photograph some supermodels having a blast on the beach and around town on a perfect spring break afternoon. Its really amazing the amount of energy these little guys have, I mean they kept going and going and going and couldn’t get enough camera time!!!

Thanks to everyone for being so awesome!!!

(uh oh… first hair, now photography. Really?! How can you possibly be better than me at all of my hobbies?! You better stay away from my Mash Tun. :)

But, nope not even close! The most challenging part of Destination Weddings is forcing yourself to narrow down all of the amazing and near perfect shots into one ‘manageable package!’ Ughhhh. Back to my arrow keys I must go…..

How does it all work?
What exactly is stock photography?
Why do certain images make a huge impact and others don’t?

These were some of the questions I had for Jay. Jay coaches photo-heads like myself at his workshop in Oceanside, California.
As soon as our feet touched his Studio’s chilly concrete floors, we were launched at light speed through the world of Stock Photography.
And once again, because of his real world, down and dirty, this is why it works – workshop – I now get it.
I understand!

Thanks Jay!!!!
