Exact quote, hum… maybe not. But, I’m sure it went something like that? :)

Alright boys and girls this is gonna be a long one! I know I always say that, but this time its much less words and many many more photos, I promise.

So, this past Friday myself and a handful of amazing photographers (Crystal Peterson, Jaime Pustizzi, Sandi Gentry, Alison Beachem, and Ashlee Raubach) got the rare chance to hang with the very talented Reilly Brothers, Jay and Andrew. If you guys aren’t familiar with their photography, I recommend checking out their stuff, they are the real deal!

The reason for this “Workshop” was all about LIGHT! Learning to control the light, something like Neo controlling the Matrix. But, WAY more impressive!!!

Because I chose not to get formally trained in Photography, whenever I find a local hero, like Jay, who is offering to share some knowledge about their craft, you better believe I’m all in.

Did I take anything from this, you bet!
First of all I meet some other great photoheads, as well as our crazy talented models, Alex, Joy, Kristen, & Gail.
Plus San Diego local freelance Make-up Artist Alison Christian brought some mad skills (and a little camera shyness, not that you could tell #12).
But most importantly, I now honestly can say, I got it. Thank you Jay (and bro Andrew) you guys were great with the no-nonsense approach to getting it done!

No sit back and checkout some of the fun we had!

Oh yes, I almost forgot about the last model, he’s 6′ 7″, athletic build, and loves long walks on the beach……. with his wife. :) I know, I know sorry ladies but yes all the good ones really are taken……

It was a great shoot with lots of fun! I love San Diego, middle of January and we’re all jumping around in board shorts and bathing suites!
