Life. The Story of You!

Hi, I’m Christopher Vaughn and along with my lovely wife Bri we’re very fortunate to have captured the most amazing images for such wonderful people over the years. All of our clients are relaxed, fun, and down to earth.

Bri and I are both long time successful hair dressers and with my graphic design background, it was a natural progression for us to make the transition into photography. We’ve been shooting professionally since 2006.

Our foucus’s are Weddings and Lifestyle assignments. As for the Weddings, between the hair business and photography we’ve lost track of how many weddings we’ve had the opportunity to enjoy. Each Wedding has been unique and outrageous time!

What we love about lifestyle is the character and soul we are able to capture. In our eyes every lifestyle assignment has to have purpose and be a window into each of our client’s lives. Everyone has a story worth sharing!

Look around, check out our site and blog, post a comment or two, and then contact us to capture your story.

Cheers,

Christopher Vaughn

JAM-Boys Summer Surf Days (video)

With all these new Nikon HD Cameras I figured it was time to brush up on my video editing skills. Plus I needed a little break from all of my still shot editing –  then again maybe I should have gone for a run instead? Dang!

Anyway, I’ve used a number of video editing software in the past, like iMovie, Final Cut Express and Pro, but I had yet to try Adobe Premier. Which I just happened to have sitting (untouched – and forgotten about) on my hard drive since last year.

With a fresh shot of West Bean Espresso in me, I fired up Premier and went to town! Okay maybe not “to town” more like out to the mailbox and back. After all, I do have a few assignments still pending. (:

I grabbed the first video I could find, some really bad video from my trusty and old Pentax Optio W30 waterproof digital camera that my nephews and I shot a couple years ago. By the way, I am sure I’ll pay for scaring the crap out of my nephew Justin – some day.

A couple hours later I’ve got a burnt DVD for the nephews and new passion for video! Here’s a little sample – be nice – it’s my first one!

Matt and Elizabeth Harris Wedding

Matt and Elizabeth Harris, married in the heart of Sonoma, California. We could not have asked for better weather and a more beautiful surrounding. From the hanging lanterns to the flickering lightbulbs strung across the dance floor, this was surely an event to remember.

December 16, 2009 - 6:38 pm s h e r r y - These are brilliant! I just love the light in the daytime shots, and the photobooth images are hilarious :)

Harris Wedding Planet

It has been a while since I’ve tried to play God and reinvent the universe, but while standing in the middle of the dance floor at our recent Wedding in Sonoma (which was absolutely beautiful by the way, sneak peak soon) it hit me.
So today I took a break from editing to play around with “Planet Harris” a place where Matt and Elizabeth rule the world! (:

Coalinga Christian Warriors Vs. Bakersfield Lighthouse

I always love getting the opportunity to photograph my Nephew and his High School football team. They are a great bunch guys with awesome hearts and pure love for the game. Most have no football experience other than high school, very rare in this area, and they have just enough guys to cover the field. They gave an awesome fight this night.
